Welcome to Agility Physical Therapy in Tucson on South Houghton Road,  on the south-East Corner on  Valencia just behind the Speedway gas station and North of Ben’s Bikes.  Our Physical Therapists serve people from Rita Ranch, Mesquite Ranch, Civano, and all over Southeast Tucson.

Previously “Momentum Physical Therapy”,  located corner of Valencia and Houghton,  the Physical Therapists at Agility Spine and Sports Physical Therapy offers the gamut of physical therapy services, including sports physical therapy medicine,  running analysis, dry needling,  and other typical physical therapies.

Our Team

Steven Hughes PTA

Clinic Director / Houghton

Steven was born and raised in Tucson and graduated from Pima Medical Institute with his Occupational Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assistant in 2015. He also received his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Northern Arizona University in 2009.

Steven has worked with the geriatric population in Tucson for six years as a Health Fitness Specialist and coordinator, having experience with wide variety of geriatric pathologies, and disabilities. He is dedicated to returning all of his patients to their greatest level of function.

Steven has a very active and athletic family and is an enthusiastic sports fan. You may spot Steven golfing, running, or supporting a family at little league baseball and Tia Kwon Do events.

Aaron Miller PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

Aaron was born and raised in Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison in 2013 with his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Psychology. He then spent 3 years working as an advisor and program coordinator at his alma mater for first generation and underrepresented students in the sciences. He went on to earn is Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in 2019.

Aaron began practicing physical therapy in the Twin Cities area at a small private practice clinic and moved to Tucson in 2020. Aaron has experience working with a wide range of individuals with pain, weakness, and balance issues. He has specific interest in shoulder rehabilitation, running analysis, and balance rehabilitation. He focuses on working closely with people to find the best path to reaching their goals.

Aaron is an active person who enjoys running, hiking, and playing Australian Rules Football for a club team in Arizona. He is an avid sports fan who cheers for everything Wisconsin sports. Aaron might also be spotted around town playing trivia, or on a plane traveling the world.

Kristen Patenaude PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

Kristen was born and raised in Chicago, IL and graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2013, receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science with a Minor in Public Health. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from NIU in 2016.

Kristen practiced in Socorro, New Mexico for 2 years, specializing in aquatic therapy. While working in New Mexico, she also had the opportunity to work as an onsite Physical Therapist for the local Rugby team before moving to Tucson in 2019.

Kristen’s philosophy is to target not only the symptoms of each individual’s condition, but to reach the problems at the source. Using evidence-based treatments, she loves working collaboratively with her patients to develop an individualized treatment plan to help them feel themselves again. She has a diverse background of training in orthopedics, post-operative care, sports medicine, pediatrics, concussion management, vertigo, and manual therapy. Kristen is currently pursuing her certification in Dry Needling.

In her free time, she enjoys going on exciting adventures with her fiance and 2 dogs, learning new hobbies such as outdoor rock climbing, and staying active so she can be a foodie.
